This is one of my all-time favorite games. I really had no interest in ancients gaming until I was introduced to WAB. I had played serveral games of DBM and a game of Tactica but I really did not care for either. Infact I can say that I hate DBM. After playing my first game of WAB I was hooked. This game combines several of my favorite aspects of miniatures gaming; 28mm models, historical research, flexible game rules that are easy to learn and most of all FUN.
I am very lucky to live in a city with a rather large WAB community that includes people who actively involved in the developent and evolution of the game. There are about a dozen active players in the Phoenix area with several more who are casual players. We have hosted 2 local WAB tournaments and had great turnout each time. We have just started a Dark Age campaign and have 9 players signed on with several more working on armies. Click on the link below to see the modified campaign rules I created for our campaign.
